Hnahthial to Aizawl
When it was 2016, for my career my parents had decided me to go to college in Aizawl and then I was admitted to Zirtiri College. I gained a lot of experiences during those years. As I am from Hnahthial, every time after we had finished semester exams I had to return home to Hnahtial and then went back to Aizawl when it was time to start a new semester, that was how I spent my life there. Because of this, in those days I had quite a number of travel experiences, but the travel road was the same as ever because it was just between Hnahtial and Aizawl
One morning I was preparing myself to go back to Aizawl as it was time to start our new semester. My mom or sometimes my grandparents and I went up steps and waited for a sumo to arrive, shortly afterwards, the sumo arrived, I got inside the car and then waved at them from the car's window as if a child waving at his parents when they leave home to go to school. Then the journey began.
Hnahthial to Aizawl is about 140 Km. On the way, we passed through quite a number of villages. At first, we passed through Thiltlang, which is a small village not many people live in here, then we entered Pangzawl, it has some sort of uniqueness as compare to other villages along the way, it has a long stretch of road around 7Km long. After Pangzawl, we had run through a forest for a little while and then proceeded to Rawpui where my father's best friend, who is now gone, was born. Now we had already passed through 3 villages. As always, I started feeling uncomfortable, I felt dizzy. Damn my life repeatedly gets tough under this kind of circumstance. However, there was nothing I could do but puking from time to time. After Rawpui, we passed through Bungtlang and Keitum. As per usual, our driver stopped at Keitum as it was time to have a morning meal. After a while, I felt less carsick, and it was such a good news for me. So, after we had finished filling our belly, we got into the car and the driver started off running by starting sumo engine. On our way, I was feeling too tired, I could think about nothing but the desire to reach our destination fully occupied my mind, after a few hours, we entered near Serchhip town, before proceeding into the main town of serchhip we were diverted to Sailiamkawn road. This road stretch for 14Km approximately, it was a comfotable road as it was wide and unrough, this is one of my favorite stretch of roads along the journey. We kept on running, after a while we arrived at Chalkhan, here there are two separate ways, one, on the left, is a road to Thenzawl and on the right is a road that leads to Aizawl. We proceeded to the right way. Now were reaching halfway through the journey. Afterwards, we had passed through Sialsuk, Sumsuih, Sailulak, Hmuifang, Aibawk, Chamring, Thiak, Melriat, Melthum, Hualngo, Falkawn and finally we were reaching Aizawl around 1:30pm. Once we entered Aizawl, the atmosphere was completely different, traffic was quite tight, crowded place, heard different sounds from various angles. In a little while, I told the driver to stop at ramhlun south. Once we reached, I eased out of the car, entered my hostel room and then reclined on my bed straight away.
It was a long and arduous journey. However, I thank God for guiding me and my travelling companions all through the journey.
