How should I approach things in life?

Image
I honestly don't know the best method for approaching something new in our lives. So, I am just going to write down my opinions, and I am pretty sure that there are many better and more practical methods out there. Anyway, let's dive in. I believe that before engaging in something, we should first develop a strategy for that particular thing. As Abraham Lincoln once said, "Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." It is crucial to set some strategies instead of mindlessly diving in. Even in the book that I recently read, " How to Win Friends and Influence People," the author suggested that before reading the contents of the book, we should first read the nine practical steps written on the previous pages of the book. By doing so, we can get the most out of the book.  And that's all. I know this article is short, but I just wanted to write it.

How to be articulate

I recently stumbled upon a video on YouTube, about "how to be articulate" by Jordan Peterson. As we know, Mr. Peterson uses advanced English, so I did not fully comprehend what he said. However, I was still able to take away valuable insights from his speech. So, I am trying to recall and jot down my takeaways from his speech. To be more articulate, 1. We need to pay close attention/feel what we say. For me, I wholeheartedly agree with this notion. From my experience so far, when I interacted with others, I lost my composure, and developed a sense of urgency, which eventually led to not focusing on what I said but caring too much about others' opinions. So, from now on, I should try to focus on my thoughts and my words, regardless of my surroundings, whether they are going to give me bad impressions or not. In this kind of situation the best thing I could do for myself and others is to focus on what I say. Moreover, oftentimes, we avoid talking because of fear, and th...

Letting go of the fear

Image
She doesn't know how many opportunities have been missed, Still holding onto her fear. She keeps on holding onto it. The fear holds her back; She feels like she has imposter syndrome, Afraid of being judged and mocked. She has had enough, So she tries to let go of the fear And pursue her passion.

YOUNG AT HEART

Image
Nature and age misaligned, Too young to comprehend all the blue humor, Not competent enough to fit into certain situations. Too delicate to mess with others, Often ashamed of the persona. Inner self urges to grow up, But limited knowledge prevents from doing so. Being aware of the immaturity in many areas of life. Nevertheless, Aware of one thing for sure, Capacity for excellence beyond others. Being obsessed with that one thing, and willing to give up anything for it. Perhaps, in time, the sacrifices that have been made and the perseverance that has been put in will pay off. Perhaps, someday. ( This is a mere reflection of my life. I know it's like defaming oneself. However, if, at least, one person finds it relatable and feel less lonely, then I'm okay with that. )

Embrace the uncertainty with God

Image
Today, I know not what the future holds, nor do I know how to tackle it with confidence. I'm just way too delicate and emotional. I always try to fit in, and in the process, I lose my true self. And I don't want to be this way anymore. O Lord, You're my only strength. Whatever comes my way, be my guide, and help me to spend my days, every single minute and second with you. I want nothing but You. Help me to handle whatever comes in my life, and to face everything with you. You're my all-in-all.

The Guts

Image
I don't really know what success would take. Having the guts to say "I don't see how I could have done any better from what I have done." would be what it takes, I guess.

The Next Step

Image
Advice to overthinkers I found this precious advice on YouTube (Karl..?) The boy says to the horse, "I can't find a way through." The horse asks the boy, "Can you see your next step?" And the boy says "Yeah," and the horse says "then just take that."  This quote hit me.  Even if we can't see a way through there is no need to be worried as long as we can see our next step. All of the time we look at the goal, we look at the future, we look at the end game, we look at how long the journey is and we feel overwhelmed. We don't need to worry about that because that will come. With each step, we will get closer to that. All I need to focus on right now is my next step.

The beauty of discipline

Image
You may be a laggard among your peers, but once you develop self-discipline, nobody can outwork you, outlast you. There may be somebody who works as hard as you do, you will still have the upper hand if you outlast them. They may work hard for an entire year or two. If you outlast them by working hard for more than 3 or four years, at the end of the day, they can't compete with you because the compounding effort favours you. Discipline is the price of freedom.

I wish I could be in a place where all my fanciful dreams could come to life, and enjoy them with my loved ones. However, I know that it is only a dream and cannot just happen. So, now all I can do is live in reality and pursue my life's goals. I truly hope that someday I will be the one who brings joy and happiness to others.

How does my morning look?

Image
As one of my favorite quotes says "I write to find out what I think," in this late morning I am going to write the way I think about the value of morning. I bet you have waken up really early in the morning like 4 am, or perhaps you have stayed up all night doing your stuff. Anyway, the first thing you noticed in the morning was probably the sound of a Rooster crowing. Secondly, you would see the eye catching sight of a horizon, for me, this is one of the unique and beautiful things to see in this world. Besides this, you could experience the gentle breeze softly blowing across your body, and it offered a relief for your soul. And do you know what advantage morning gives us? The air we breathe in the morning is supposed to be fresher than the rest of the air during the day, it may not be a science-based fact, but I want it to be, hehe. For some, morning can even be more valuable, because it is one of the most peaceful and serene periods of the day where noises and distraction...

Embrace your pain

Image
What make the greats great, what make someone so special? Some of the answers can be endurance and perseverance to embrace pain and uncertainty. Have you ever known someone great who suffers no pain at all? I bet you haven't at least one yet. To corroborate this fact, let me highlight some of the greats in certain fields. Elon Musk: He is currently the wealthiest man in the world. He owns two companies such as Tesla and SpaceX. Though his achievement is pleasing to hear, his journey towards success is not served on a silver platter. Back in an early stage of his companies, he was on the verge of bankruptcy when the two companies encountered certain problems. However, he made up his mind that no matter how hard things would turned out to be, he chose to try and die rather than giving up. He worked round the clock, there was no rest in his vocabulary, he worked for 100 hours a week. And he himself did say that if you worked hard enough like hell, you would improve the odds of success...

Greatness

Greatness is something that can not be achieved within a short period of time; it is something like a drop of water accumulating slowly and steadily, and ultimately, it becomes the mighty ocean.

Death is not the end of life

Image
Way to Muallianpui🚗 On 23rd june after long suffering, my uncle finally fell asleep. On the next day we proceeded to muallianpui to attend his funeral. Early in the morning at 6:05 am we started to travel to Muallianpui. At 7:50 am we reached Darzo and had a morning meal at my brother in law's house. Shortly afterwards, we continued to proceed to muallianpui. Something strange yet beautiful!🌻 On the way there were several nghahloh dawr (shops without the keeper) at the road side. This is a unique trait of Mizo society showing honesty and good morality of Mizo people. We bought several produce there and continued to proceed to muallianpui. A grevious moment 🥀 When it was about 10:30 am, we reached near Muallianpui. Before we entered the town, we stopped and dressed up for a funeral and then finally arrived. My uncle's house was a houseful of mourners, moreover, others were sitting outside the house offering their sympathy. When the clock struck half past 12 pm, photoshoot ses...

Hnahthial to Aizawl

Image
I don't know from where I should start. I am a student, I was born in Hnahthial and had went to school in Hnahthial up to class 7. Later on, I shifted to Lunglei at Sacred heart school, but sadly, due to my poor english knowledge I found it difficult to adapt myselft to a new environment, it was indeed a bit difficult for me, coming from mizo medium and so eventually I got failed result. So, my parents sent me to another school and days passed by a lot of things had happened.  When it was 2016, for my career my parents had decided me to go to college in Aizawl and then I was admitted to Zirtiri College. I gained a lot of experiences during those years. As I am from Hnahthial, every time after we had finished semester exams I had to return home to Hnahtial and then went back to Aizawl when it was time to start a new semester, that was how I spent my life there. Because of this, in those days I had quite a number of travel experiences, but the travel road was the same as ever because...

A trip to Muallianpui.

Image
On the early July we took a trip to Muallianpui to visit my uncle who is suffering from nerve disease, his condition is not improving, rather it is becoming more severe. Before I begin, let me give a brief outline of Muallianpui. It is a small village, where my father was born, situated in remote areas. It is about 80 km away from my hometown Hnahthial.  Our jouney began on July 4,2020, once we had decided to visit my uncle, we started to pack our clothes and other important stuffs, then we began to travel in our little car.  I was very happy and excited because it has been the first trip outside my hometown since lockdown was enforced. On our way, I was expecting to enjoy beautiful nature, a gentle breeze, birds chirping and a pleasant journey, but things did not happen as expected. My unwanted old friend began to appear right from my head, then saliva started accumulating, dizzinesss followed and eventually I started to puke along the way and it happened every now and ...

Beautiful Damsel

Image
Her life alternates between ups and downs. Sometimes, the obstacles weary her body and soul, but she keeps going and chasing her dream nonetheless.  Though she stumbles through a miserable life, she never stops spreading kindness and love, like morning dew drizzling down on the earth.  Like a morning flower that never fails to bloom, she starts each day with hope and gratitude.  Sooner or later, she will arrive at her destiny and embark on the new life she has been longing for.

Traveling🚕

Image
I hate traveling as much as I hate vomiting on the way. Saliva starts cumulating, giddiness follows  and eventually ended up with awful puking. Once the dark side is overcome, a soothing side awaits you. Gaze out of the window and look at those running trees, birds flying, random squirrels running from time to time.  Meanwhile, the gentle breeze wafting through your body, resfreshing your mind and body,  so you get back to life.

NOSTALGIA

Image
Let me sentimentally regurgitate the trash ideas out of my rusty mind once again. Life is seemingly void and dull without someone to whom I belong. When nostalgia strikes me, I am as weak as a feather having no direction, floating wherever the wind blows, and so my life has no direction. Oh sweetheart I am counting the days without you.

Mama My Dog.

Image
Back in 2018 one of those mornings - Where the morning dew were drizzling, we were running and chasing on our happy road. The sound of birds chirping , the sound of your barking and my flowing sweat marked our joyful moment. Now it's all gone and so are you. They said time heals pain, The memories of us are still engraved in my heart, you are truly missed mama(my dog)

Roaring Thunder

Image
The roaring thunder reminds me of your pre-eminence, the nimble lightning reminds me that you are able and sufficent. O my inner self don't you stop being scared, you're safe in the palm of his hand.
