I Let My Bike Be Wrapped

Image
On 27.03.25, my dad bought me a secondhand KTM Duke 200 BS3. I didn’t expect it at all, to be honest. I’m super thankful for that. I’m grateful to have loving parents who care for me. Today, 4th April 2025, I went to Sky High Auto at Chanmari West, Aizawl, to have my bike wrapped. I reached the place as soon as they opened—around 9:30 am, I think. One mechanic spent the whole day working on my bike. Since it was closing time and he couldn’t finish the entire wrap, they told me I could come back again on Monday. I paid Rs. 2500 for the wrapping. Since it was a long day, I made use of the time by going to the market. I bought a pair of trousers, got a haircut, and also bought sleeves. Even though it was a bit of a challenging day because I have zero experience with vehicle-related things, it was still productive. For the wrap, I chose a matte black colour.

2 ways (Bad and Good) to protect my principles.

Image
I have someone that I don't personally like him. I don't hate him, I don't do evil against him. I pray for him. But I don't like his attitude and what he did to me. But I will always choose to love him and do good to him because I am a Christian. One day, as I sat basking in the warm sunlight, he approached me, remarking on my sun exposure. I replied affirmatively and suggested he join me. However, deep inside, I didn't want to talk with him or have him sit beside me. Did I violate my principles? Did I fail to protect my principles, which include protecting my faith, honor, and bravery? Here are some of the principles I have: Protect my faith Protect my honor Protect my bravery Did I protect my bravery? - I feel that I didn't protect my bravery. The reason is that I spoke, I talked to him that was against my thoughts, my mind. I didn't stay true to myself and for that I think I wasn't brave enough in that moment. Did I protect my honor? - The answer for ...

SELF REFLECTION

Image
The danger of continuous speaking without being careful. The more I talk, the more inclined I am towards violating my principles. So, the next time I need to speak, I must remember that continuous talking can make me lose myself and forget my principles. Therefore, I have to remain alert, vigilant, and careful. I must always keep the principles in mind in the midst of talking. Inspiration: Extra class Ways to Compliment When I want to praise or be polite to others, I should do it slowly and carefully. Before I act or speak, I must remember and protect my principles. I can take a pause if needed, and then I should give sincere and genuine compliments or words to others. Inspiration: Compliments to colleague. Ways to Confront Awkwardness Often, the opinions of others are a trigger for me to act or feel awkward. If I ever find myself in an awkward position, as soon as I get this feeling, I need to follow these steps: - Identify what makes me feel awkward and address it. If necessary, expr...

Embrace the sucks

Image
Embrace the awkward; embrace the dislike rather than losing my principles. I am okay with being disliked, sounding silly, appearing awkward, or seeming incompetent. I am okay with suffering as long as I protect my principles because I am not in this world to please others, impress others, fit in, or chase happiness.  I am here to protect my loved ones and the needy.  I am a man.  I am a protector/defender. I am real.  I am true.  I am willing to suffer for the sake of protecting my principles. Above all, I am the servant of Christ. All of these are my affirmations. I must possess this mentality if it aligns with God's will and if God allows me to. It is up to my God. Inspiration: asking calendar price.

Overcoming Shyness

Image
I must overcome shyness or timidity. While taking good consideration of others' opinions can improve relationships, it is not always true and applicable. So, whenever I contemplate a thought or adopt a mentality that involves considering others' opinions, I must quickly think ahead and ask myself: - Is it the right time? - Is it the right place to care or take consideration of others' opinions? - Is it necessary to care or take consideration of other's opinions in order to protect my principles? If it is not necessary, I will act and behave boldly and courageously with God. Inspiration: Mom, sumo.

Antidote for overthinking, stress, anxiety

Image
I am not perfect. Even if I want to be perfect, I will make mistakes again, such as unintentional mistakes and intentional mistakes to some extent. I will let go of my past, the mistakes I made. I will simply learn from them. I will try to filter out any lessons I can learn. And I will strive to become better than before. I am not perfect yet, so I will stop trying to be perfect. I must stop dwelling too much on the past. Instead, I will focus on living my life with Jesus and protecting my principles as far as I can, and learning from the past.  Maybe I made a mistake, but from now on, I will not feel sorry or too occupied with the mistakes or the past. Instead, I will figure out the lesson that I can learn. I will move on, I will submit to Jesus and protect my principles. I will take it easy. But I will keep learning without stress. Page 5 (5.1.23) Self Reflection

Lesson 1: When engaging in a conversation, if someone poses a question, I am most likely to intend to give them answers they want to hear, as I don't want to hurt their feelings or invite conflict, even a minor one. However, by doing this, I don't think I am maintaining and protecting my principles. I compromise my bravery and honor, and I don't respect myself. So, from now on, when asked a question, I will not give non-genuine answers. I will offer genuine responses, regardless of whether they contradict their expectations or desires. I cannot tell a lie or give a non-genuine answer. I cannot compromise my principles by providing a non-genuine answer. The next time I have to respond to questions, especially when the answers may not align with their expectations or desires, I will take a short pause and provide genuine responses in a diplomatic and polite manner because I must uphold my principles. I have to protect my principles at all costs. Lesson 2: When my expectation ...

Page 4 (4.1.24) Don't easily compromise | Respect your Principles

Image
There could be some arguments or conflicts about my negotiations and thoughts with others. If such an instance occurs, I will not be chicken-hearted; I will not easily compromise at first hand. I must maintain and protect my life's principles. I have my own rights, and I must know them. Also, I will not disrespect others' rights. I must stand up for myself, my loved ones, and the needy if necessary without disrespecting others' rights.  When such an instance occurs, I will think about my principles and make a courageous and prudent move to stand up for myself and my people (loved ones and the needy). I will carefully consider the thoughts and standpoint of my loved ones and my people during arguments or conflicts with others. I will try to express my thoughts or standpoint in a more diplomatic manner as speaking in a way that is more relieving for them is part of wisdom. (Channa nemin thinur a tikiang thin.) It doesn't matter whether I'm going to hurt their feelings...

It was an important milestone for our relatives, as we hosted Hriati's man hlan program before the wedding ceremony, which is scheduled for the day after tomorrow. My younger sister will be the bridesmaid. Aside from this program, this is what crossed my mind; maybe it is right to say this is what I learned that day. 1. I will keep on learning so that I can clearly distinguish between good and evil, know what to do and what not to do, and understand how to act or speak in certain situations. What I need is to keep on learning under God's guidance. 2. I have to be more careful when riding, especially when driving a vehicle near a side drain. I will not feel pressured when other vehicles and drivers are behind or near me. I will try to maintain my calm and composure. Even if it is awkward or sucks, I will not care about others' opinions as long as I adhere to my principles. I must protect my principles at all costs.

2024 - Page 2

I can't change the past. I want to stop dwelling in the past where I have some regrets. I can't change them. The best possible move I can make is to not repeat the same mistakes, let them go, learn from the past, and move on. Be bold and maintain honor, aka self-respect.
