Page 5 (5.1.23) Self Reflection

Lesson 1:

When engaging in a conversation, if someone poses a question, I am most likely to intend to give them answers they want to hear, as I don't want to hurt their feelings or invite conflict, even a minor one. However, by doing this, I don't think I am maintaining and protecting my principles. I compromise my bravery and honor, and I don't respect myself.

So, from now on, when asked a question, I will not give non-genuine answers. I will offer genuine responses, regardless of whether they contradict their expectations or desires. I cannot tell a lie or give a non-genuine answer.

I cannot compromise my principles by providing a non-genuine answer.

The next time I have to respond to questions, especially when the answers may not align with their expectations or desires, I will take a short pause and provide genuine responses in a diplomatic and polite manner because I must uphold my principles. I have to protect my principles at all costs.

Lesson 2:

When my expectation and their act or response contradict, I will not instantly act or say out loud without second thoughts again. Instead, I will take a short pause and carefully act or say my intention or what I want to say.

If I ever have such a situation again, and if I want to express my thoughts, desires or expectations that I want them to hear, without hurrying and forcing, I will not instantly say or act. Instead, I will take a short pause, and I will say or act it in a more diplomatic and wise manner by protecting and upholding my principles.

Lesson 3:

When I want to praise, motivate, or uplift others, is it better not to do so if it's not going to be genuine? Because I might praise them in front of them but say otherwise to others.

So, instead of giving non-genuine praise or motivation, yet still wanting to motivate or praise them, I will try to find a moment when they deserve praise amid their many blunders and give them genuine praise.
